Best of Double Cluepon Day: The I.T. Rules.

19 September 2007

Over this last weekend, I got into a protracted diatribe about the trials and tribulations of being in the IT field. Poor Seraph. She sat patiently and listened to me rant about how office IT works.

But, nonetheless…it’s still a legitimate gripe. Any geek will tell you, we have all been here. We have all had people at “the office” commit sinful and disgusting breaches of our machines. The ones we are responsible for. The ones we KNOW were working just fine before they touched them…

3. You may not make *any* observation whatsoever about how much “fun” our job is, because we work with computers all day. This will be grounds for swift and painful retribution. Think along the following lines: “Well, uh, gee boss, I don’t know how 3 million dollars of the companies money wound up in my personal bank account…”

The post was edited a couple times, thanks to the folks in #modus on freenode. As I said earlier, we have all been here. So without further ado…please feel free to read…
