Best of Double Cluepon Day: 4 AM Wakeup to a surreal day.
20 September 2007When you work IT in an office, sometimes you get those early morning pages that tell you all hell is about to break loose. You wake up, and you fumble repeatedly. You’re groggy, you’re pissed you had to get out of a warm bed. The result is never good.
But, this day was unlike any other for me, and I can remember it as if it was just yesterday. I kept feeling as though I was out of phase with the rest of the world. Weird things kept happening, and I just felt so ill-equipped for them. From the early morning wake up, to getting my new passport photos done…it was a day of surreal surprises for me. I just couldn’t win.
The day was a truckload of fail….
It will be hard to fix the godamned problem when my office and server room keys are hanging up AT HOME. I swear, I am such a godamned stupid fuck sometimes.
I drive home, I get my keys. I drive back. I get into the office. I switch the KVM to the Web Server.
“Non System Disk Error”
FUCK.
Some days, you get the bear…and some days the bear gets you.
